Veteran Real Estate Broker Brings Decades of Experience to Career Services Role

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — The HomeSmart Professionals Team based in Palm Springs, Calif., announced it has hired Stephen Burchard as a career services representative and broker associate.

Burchard joins a team of more than 430 professionals, and in his new role will continue to reach out and support agents throughout Coachella Valley.

Burchard, who has been in the real estate industry for nearly two decades, joined HomeSmart as a Realtor just over three years ago. Prior to that, he owned a mortgage business and independent real estate brokerage.

“Stephen has the entrepreneurial spirit that many HomeSmart agents share, and I think this will make him really good in this new role,” said Rich LaRue, designated broker for HomeSmart Professionals.

As a former business owner in the mortgage and real estate industries, Burchard has become a well-respected and active advocate within the local business community since moving to the Valley in 2010 from northern California.

“I love the HomeSmart brand, I love the tech, and I love the compensation structure,” said Burchard. “I am probably one of the biggest brand ambassadors in Coachella Valley and the longer I’m with HomeSmart, the more I become entrenched in my passion for the company. I’m a firm believer that agents need autonomy in their business. HomeSmart offers that, while letting me keep my commission and giving me resources to grow. I want to help other agents do the same.”
