California Desert Association of Realtors Bestows Honor for Exemplary Service to Palm Desert Market
PALM DESERT, Calif. —HomeSmart Professionals Designated Broker Rich La Rue was recently recognized with the 2018 California Desert Association of Realtors (CDAR) President’s Award.
The real estate community reaching from Palm Springs to Indio came together to honor La Rue and other exceptional members of the association for their contributions and positive influence in the industry at the 2019 CDAR Annual Installation Event.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this Award. California Desert Association of REALTORS is the largest trade organization in the Coachella Valley providing support services to all agents from all real estate companies. It is a pleasure to serve the association and the CDAR leadership team.”
This is La Rue’s second consecutive year winning this highly coveted award. Diana Busch, 2018 CDAR President, was thrilled to bestow the honor upon La Rue once again.
La Rue has been very active with the CDAR and currently is serving the association as chair of the building remodel which began in November. Additionally, La Rue served as a Director on the CDAR Board of Directors for 2014 and 2015 as well as the Local Candidate Recommendation Committee. Previously, he served on the CDAR MLS Committee and on the Board of Directors for California Real Estate Technology Services. La Rue was also recognized nationally by receiving the Circle of Excellence Award. This award is given to less than 4-percent of offices worldwide.
“We are incredibly proud of all that Rich has accomplished during his impressive career so far,” said Widdows. “His heart and determination to serve his market without looking for anything in return is what makes him an asset to the real estate community in Palm Desert and across the entire HomeSmart International network. We are lucky to have him on our team.”
La Rue has more than 35 years of experience in real estate sales and management from real estate offices to regional and national operations. Prior to joining HomeSmart, La Rue owned and operated several brokerage offices in the Palm Springs area and proved his exceptional abilities by growing the operation while many competitors’ offices closed during the market crash from 2006 to 2010.
Since opening in 2012, HomeSmart Professionals has quickly grown to 3 offices and over 450 agents.
