About Me

The Christie Ellis Team

“Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity.” – Henry Hartman

What Makes Me Different: From the time you start considering a move to when you officially make an offer or list your home, there are important things that need to be accomplished. Whether it’s getting pre-approved for a loan, setting you up on a search so you can start looking at homes or getting  your home ready to sell, we will work together to clarify everything that needs to happen. While you’re busy getting ready, other buyers are out there potentially grabbing a home that could have been perfect for you. It’s like sleeping in while the early birds grab all the good stuff at the yard sale, and then when you finally do show up you left your wallet at home. By getting you ready quickly, we will be in the best position for you to have your pick of the homes that are out there. I think it’s smarter to be ready and choose to take your time, than not be ready and miss out.

The Unique Background I Bring: Before I got into real estate, I worked for nearly 20 years in several positions in finance and human resources that all seemed to have the same theme: I was hired to come in and clean up a mess that someone else had created. As rewarding as those successes were, I find it much more enjoyable to get something right from the beginning. This is why I setup my service the way I do: I think it makes a lot more sense to be ready to jump at the right opportunity whenever it comes along rather than try to scramble and play catch-up behind those who were more prepared.

Why I Became a Realtor: Growing up in Nebraska and moving to Arizona about 20 years ago, my family and I have bought and sold multiple houses in my lifetime, but each time I felt like I was trying to move faster than my agent. I’m not sure how many opportunities I missed out on, but it felt like things were happening all around me while I was trying to catch up. I got into real estate because I knew with my abilities to organize chaotic situations that I would be able to help other people make sure they aren’t missing out on opportunities, too.

Education is Key: I firmly believe in continuing education. I completed additional training in 2020 to become an Associate Broker.  And, in addition to maintaining my CPA license, I am also an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR®) and a Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS®).

More About Me: My husband and I enjoy traveling after picking up the travel bug during my years in the airline industry.  My daughters, age 18 and 15, keep us busy with many activities including volleyball, dive and theater.  Our two maltipoos also keep us on our toes.
