Sweater Weather

Posted On: October 20th, 2016 3:28AM

It's here! I can feel it. Autumn in Phoenix. Yes, it's true- highs are still in the 90s but that's Fall folks. Sweater weather. The temps will soon be in the mid 70s to low 80s and you will see all of us emerge from our homes like little caterpillars turned butterflies, squeezing out of our cocoons of air conditioned comfort. For the next 8 months we will hike the trails, jog the paths, ride our bikes. We get to go outside again!

There's a million great things to do in Phoenix when the weather is good. I'm going to give you my top 5.

Topping my list is going hiking. I love to hike South Mountain. It's as easy or as hard as you want to make it.  Camelback and Piestewa Peak are also great hiking spots.

Another great thing to do when the weather gets cool is to visit the Phoenix Zoo

Number 3 is running. I like to run, but I'm no die hard runner. As a matter of fact, the conditions must be perfect for me to get out there to run and when I say run, I mean a 14 minute mile. So yah, that's like walking. So I like to take walks when it's nice outside.  *sigh*

Next up is outdoor dining. There are so many great spots to eat that have outdoor seating. It's so awesome to just enjoy a beverage, good food, and fresh air.
Alrighty then... last but not least is taking la mini me to the park to run off some energy.  There's no shortage of parks to pick from in the ChandlerMesaGilbert area.

Tumbleweed Park is one of our faves.

If reading about 5 of my favorite ways to kick off sweater weather in Arizona kind of made you want to search for houses, then AWESOME! Click here to do just that.
