This is the second of the Del Webb communities located in the west valley. It is just west of Sun City and has a very similar feel and style to its sister city. It is also a self contained city, and the homes were built between 1978 and 1997. It has about 17,000 homes, slightly smaller than Sun City, and has its own hospital, shopping and retail stores. Golf carts are allowed on the streets and make easy access for the residents. The community is notable for it’s low taxes, low association fees and reasonably priced housing. Buyers can find a variety of housing styles, including single family homes, duplexes, garden apartments or condos.
Space has been provided for 270 garden plots for those wishing to grow fresh vegetables and flowers year-round. The Sun Cities Saddle Club offers residents a place to keep a horse and to join others in trail rides. A large, secure storage lot provides space for RVs, boats and trailers when they are not being used. Even the dogs have their own Doggie Park.
