Over the past several years, Clay has justifiably earned himself a reputation for his expertise as a specialist in assisting his clients through one of the largest transactions of their life. Having worked, lived and played in Phoenix for over 30 years, his knowledge of the area is intimate and the size of his personal contact base among its residents quite large.



Originally from the Chicago area, Clay graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interior Design. He relocated to Phoenix in 1990, seeing it as a place of unlimited opportunity for a person with his creative talents and entrepreneurial spirit. It wasnt long before he had his own successful commercial interior design firm and was the owner of a patent on one of his own designs.



After obtaining his real estate license, it didn't take him long to realize that his eight years in the interior design business had provided him with a special ability to help his clients visualize the unique possibilities of properties that to other agents were just “fix-ups”. When his listing clients responded to his suggestions for “staging” their homes to increase visual sales appeal and got results, he realized his creativity and sense of design gave him a real competitive edge in the market. Combining these talents with an informative style, a passion for listening and a personable approach, he has effectively guided first time home buyers and seasoned sellers alike through the buying and selling process in such a way that most rate their experiences as positive and stress-free.



Clay recently obtained his Broker license in order to further his education and set himself apart from his peers. It is not hard to understand then why, in the past several years, Clay has been recognized multiple times by his broker as “Agent of the Month” and received the Diamond Club Award. This award is based on yearly sales and reserved for the highest producing agents. Recently Clay was recognized as the top 10% among 5000 of his fellow HomeSmart Realtors. However, what really has catapulted Clay to the top of his game is his ability to communicate to his clients his clear vision of the future for Phoenix where more and more owners are starting to see the values of their home increase.
