First of all, thank you to the 30 buyers and sellers who have allowed me to sell their homes so far in 2018. We are seeing a lot of activity in all price ranges this year including the luxury market, which has come back strong. We have sold six homes this year priced for more than $900,000 and we have nine more months to go. Please contact me if you are considering selling or buying in North Central at any price! We will list and sell any home at any price range.
March 16 was a trip down memory lane for me playing in the All Saints Episcopal Golf Tournament with my brother Michael, Brian Friedman (he paid for us ... thanks!) and Mike Olson. It was a lot of fun seeing my son Sean's coach Mark Wagner, who also was Sean’s basketball during his freshman year at Brophy. Coach still likes to smack talk with me, which just means he still likes me. What I really took out of the golf tournament today is what All Saints means to the North Central community. Many families have relocated to our area to go to All Saints as well as Brophy, Xavier and the incredible charter and public schools that we have in our small ‘hood. We also have the best home values in the city.
I am very proud also of what my brother Michael has done in our area the past five years: sold Macayo's on Central to an apartment builder and then helped them relocate next door, assembled two office buildings on 7th Street just south of Camelback, which developed into a 240-unit luxury apartment complex, and assembled 14 parcels on 7th street, which developed into Earnhardt Lexus. Finally, Michael and I are going back to Atlanta for a few days to spend Passover with many of our cousins who we have not seen in a long time or even met. I’m also going to see my old college baseball coach, Jim Morris, who has been at the helm of the University of Miami for 26 years and won two national championships. Miami is playing Georgia Tech the last weekend of April so it will be a memorable weekend to see my cousins and my college coach. Coach told me I was actually his first college baseball recruit. See, you can go back home and it is always better when it is a happy occasion. Have a Happy Easter and Passover and anything else you are celebrating!
