In October we're talking about - So spooky right now.

Posted On: May 3rd, 2023 8:11PM

Pumpkin spice & everything nice!

Comfy sweaters, warm drinks and beautiful colors.

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall season and enjoying all the flavors and spices that come with it. As always, if you know anyone who has an interest in buying, selling, or investing in real estate, be sure to give them my name! Referrals mean everything, and I would love to help them achieve their real estate goals.

It may be a spooky time of the year, but don't let that scare you out of the real estate market.

October is an interesting time of the year for buying or selling a home. Inventory levels are on the decline, which usually means that drives the prices up. But this time of the year, inventory levels are dropping because many people don't like to have their home "open" during the holiday season.

What does this mean for you? If you're selling, there is a lot less competition out there competing for those buyers. If you're on the other side of the fence and looking to buy, while inventory levels may be lower, the homes on the market often will deal so they can consider their home sold and not have people looking at their home during the holiday season.

So either way, if you're thinking of buying or selling, the sooner the better... so give me a call today.

Thank you for allowing me to stay in contact with you.

It's my honor to serve you and I'll be there when you need me.

Thank you,

Russell Bateman

Keeping Calm and Cool

It's the summer and the memories are waiting to happen.

Hope you are having a great summer and enjoying August before things kick back into gear. As always, if you know anyone who has an interest in buying, selling, or investing in real estate, be sure to give them my name! Referrals mean everything, and I would love to help them achieve their real estate goals.

Except for the holidays, mid-summer is the slowest time of the year for real estate. If you're in the market now, some great deals are out there since many sellers have been on the market a while and missed the spring selling season, so give me a call and let's talk about your specifics.

For the rest of us... it's vacation time! Here are some good mid-summer vacation ideas I found and thought I would pass along.

Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean - Family-Friendly Cruises

It's never a bad time of year to set sail; cruise lines launch new trips and ships perfect for any time of year. Take advantage of the school vacation and plan a family-friendly cruise or the ultimate kid-adventure aboard a Disney cruise.

National Park Escapes

When everyone else is heading to the beach, bring along your hiking boots for a trip to the mountains. Take the kids on a family mountain vacation or take advantage or warm, dry weather in national parks like the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Acadia in Maine or Mount Rainier in Washington.

Amusement Park Fun

Sure, there may be long lines and aggravating crowds, but for many travelers, riding a roller coaster is an annual summer tradition. Brave the humidity and hot weather to mingle with the mouse and his entourage of princesses at Disney.

Lollapalooza Music Festival

Head to Grant Park in Chicago for the Lollapalooza Music Festival. What's not to like about an outdoor summer concert? Most large cities, and many smaller cities have great music festivals, theater int he park, and even movie night in the parks for kids. Check with your chamber of commerce for details and schedules.

Sturgis Bike Rally

Get your motor revving'! Join hundreds of bikers as they converge on campgrounds and bars in Sturgis, SD, for the Sturgis Bike Rally. One of the best motorcycle rallies in US, Sturgis runs during the first week of August. In addition to being a fun social gathering for bikers, the event also includes music concerts and bike shows.

Thank you for allowing me to stay in contact with you.

It's my honor to serve you and I'll be there when you need me.

Thank you,

In July we're talking about - Summer parties... It just doesn't get any better.

Fireworks in July

It's time to celebrate independence and get together with friends. Enjoy the beautiful weather and as always, if you know anyone who has an interest in buying, selling, or investing in real estate, be sure to give them my name! Referrals mean everything, and I would love to help them achieve their real estate goals.

With real estate in it's slow season, let's talk summertime parties!

Hosting a 4th of July party, or a mid-summer pool party, or even an end-of-summer back to school party is a great way to get your friends and family together for the celebration, but many people are put off by the potential costs. If you assume that you'd need to spend lots of money to throw an impressive party, think again. As long as you're prepared to do a little more planning than you might otherwise have done, you can easily save across most areas without looking cheap or tacky. Here are some tips for hosting a summer party that won't hurt your budget too much and that will still be remembered for all of the right reasons!

Food

Make a list of who will be coming to the party and base your food around that to avoid serving more than your guests will eat. See if you can find coupons in your local paper or on coupon websites to help you lower your food costs a little bit.

If you're having a backyard barbecue, cooking burgers and steaks for multiple guests can become expensive, so think about alternative options like hot dogs. This way, you can still maintain a BBQ theme without seeing your food costs spiral out of control. You might also ask your guests to bring along some potato chips or other snacks to help you out. Side dishes and drinks are all easy things that guests can bring, and they won’t feel like you're a cheapskate for asking them.

Plastic utensils/cutlery, napkins and cups can be purchased cheaply from dollar stores if you don't want to use your own or you don’t have enough to go around... but remember to recycle those paper plates and plastics!

Drinks

Again, asking your guests to bring their own isn't a big deal. They might prefer it. Summer parties are usually a casual affair, so sodas, beer, and lemonade usually work best!

Throwing a fabulous summer party doesn't need to break the bank. With some creativity and careful planning, it's more than possible to impress your guests without going over budget, especially if you can persuade them to pitch in with food and drink to spread the costs around. Ultimately, it's all about the company that will make it a good time and memories to remember.

Happy Summer

Here's to good sunshine and happy times!

Enjoy the beautiful weather and nice days outside as we roll into June. As always, if you know anyone who has an interest in buying, selling, or investing in real estate, be sure to give them my name! Referrals mean everything, and I would love to help them achieve their real estate goals.

I would love to include you on my todo list this year to find your new home or to sell your current home. But with many people, they just love the home they're in or love the neighborhood and can't find it in their heart to move... so remodeling may be an option for you.

I found this great graphics from my local real estate board and thought I would share it with you. If you have any questions or need help finding a great remodeling referral, don't hesitate to give me a call.

May we're talking about - Are home prices changing?

Closer to summer...

Now's a great time to be in the market looking for or selling a home! As always, if you know anyone who has an interest in buying, selling, or investing in real estate, be sure to give them my name! Referrals mean everything, and I would love to help them achieve their real estate goals.

Are you wondering how has the price of your home changed in today's market? How much are other homes in your neighborhood selling for? If you're wondering what's happening to prices in your area, or you're thinking about selling your house, I can help.

Just give me a call for a no-fuss, professional evaluation. I won't try to push you into listing with me or waste your time. I'll just give you the honest facts about your home and its value. Maybe I'll also give you the "inside scoop" on what's happening in the housing market near where you live (in addition to the zip code marketing stats).

Even if you don't want to know what your home is currently worth... give me a call anyway and let's chat. I would LOVE to hear from you.

Thank you for allowing me to stay in contact with you.

It's my honor to serve you and I'll be there when you need me.

Thank you,
