Welcome

I believe that everyone has their own story to share regarding their wants, their needs, their hopes and their dreams in life.  This is so important when working with clients who are making one of the biggest financial decisions of their life whether is it a retiree downsizing/rightsizing, or a new couple or single just starting out.  It all comes down to listening……What are they looking for?  What gives them joy, what gives them pause? I take what I hear and together we create a plan to be successful and get their needs met.

I love what I do.  I’m interested in just about every aspect of real estate.  I find it all fascinating.

I have been a realtor in Arizona, Florida and Colorado so I know a thing or two about relocation and moving from state to state, although I now call Arizona my permanent home and moved here originally in 1985 from Illinois.  What some people don't know about me is that my first career was in the financial industry. I still hold my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license as it keeps me current on what is happening in the financial markets, which can affect the real estate industry. I believe that background also allows me to look at the full financial picture (short term and long term) for my real estate clients. My second career (I know I am a glutton for punishment) was as a Registered Nurse (RN). As an RN with a master’s degree in Nursing Administration, advocacy was key in my role. Putting the needs of others FIRST.  In Real Estate full-time, I bring the skills from my other professions and truly deliver the best experience for my real estate clients. That was a great foundation to have and I carry those traits into my Real Estate profession.

I am also a Certified Professional Property Stager through the Professional Property Stager Learning Institute and have bought and sold many of my own homes so I understand the importance of making a house looks the best that it can when selling.  This is an additional no cost service for my listing clients who may need some guidance and consultation as they prepare to stage their own homes to get it ready to sell.

I got started in real estate in the year 2000 when I became frustrated with the lack of professionalism that I was seeing while attempting to find a horse property for myself.  On my own, I ultimately found what I was looking for and decided to get my license with a vow to be a client advocate and provide them with the tools and education to make the right real estate decisions.

I placed a high value on helping people understand the complexities of real estate, like the details of a mortgage and what interest rates really mean. I make sure my clients get their questions answered – and if I don’t know the answers, I’ll say so and tell them I’ll get an answer for them quickly.  And I do. I always follow-through and follow-up.

I believe my background in finance and healthcare plus many years in real estate, allows me to listen to my client's needs, understand their current position and to help get them where they want to be, whether it's buying their new dream home or selling their existing one.

This is what makes me unique and better qualified:

I am a TRUE ADVOCATE for the client.  It’s not about me, it’s about YOU. Clients FIRST. ALWAYS.

I EDUCATE you throughout the process.  Why?  Because knowledge is power and I don’t believe in keeping you in the dark about any aspect of the transaction or any part of real estate, for that matter.

Negotiation skills are key.  My job is to negotiate fairly to get you what you want and what you are comfortable with. And I believe in treating all parties with the respect and dignity that they deserve. I am also a good listener and I take what I hear to deliver unparalleled service.

Being active in my community is important to me and I have been involved with K9 Search and Rescue for several years.  I love animals. My dog Kassidy and I are both nationally certified as a K9 Search and Rescue Team with NASAR (The National Association for Search and Rescue).  We started a few years ago with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office (Search Dog Unit) and now work with an independent team for Search, Rescue and Recovery with a specialty in Cold Cases here in the valley.   It is rewarding work and a way to help families and give back to the community.

Here are my promises to you:

I promise to tell you the truth about your property. I will give you my honest assessment of what your home is worth. I won’t mislead you about the value in order to get your listing or make you feel good.

I promise to keep you informed about the real estate market: what’s working, what’s not, what’s going on in the finance world, and anything else that could or should affect you in a real estate transaction.

I promise to disclose all my relationships in the transaction. If I am representing both the buyer and the seller in our transaction, I am obligated to tell you. However, there are other kinds of relationships that may influence our business together and I tell you about those as well.

I promise not to put my commission/transaction fee ahead of what’s best for you. Whatever house you decide to buy, I will respect your choice and work hard to complete the transaction successfully.

I promise to respect your confidences. While working together, you may share personal, financial and other confidential information with me. I will not disclose this information to anyone, nor will I use it to gain any kind of advantage in a transaction.

I promise to show you ALL the available properties in your price range. Some Realtors may try to steer you toward their own or their company’s listings. I’ll show you ANY property that meets your needs, regardless of who has the listing.

I promise to give you good advice. I deal with lenders, home inspectors, appraisers and countless other professionals on a regular basis. I can give you solid recommendations about these matters, if you need them.

I promise not to push you into a bidding war. Real estate is a competitive business and there are offers and counter-offers that go on during any business deal. However, I will not encourage you to go beyond your maximum budget to buy a property. I won’t tell you that other people are interested in the property or about to make offers in order to get you to make a higher offer.

I promise that you will understand what you’re signing. Any real estate deal involves a lot of paperwork. You’ll be asked to sign all kinds of documents and I will explain them all and make sure you are comfortable every step of the way. I won’t get you into a time crunch so that you feel you don’t have time to read through the paperwork.

I promise to tell you the truth about myself. I’ll provide you with information about my background, my training, and my experience as a Realtor. I won’t make any false claims. I’ll discuss my commissions and any other compensation I might receive as a result of our transaction.

I promise to follow through AND follow up. I don’t list and leave. I’ll discuss with you exactly how I work and what you can expect. I’ll communicate regularly and you’ll know everything that’s going on as soon as I know it. Even after we close on your home transaction, I’ll keep in touch to be sure you’re still happy.
