For the last month, my wife and I have worked closely with Judy on the sale of our home and the purchase of a new home. My husband Jim and I have been working with Judy as our Real Estate Agent for the past two or more years in an effort to find just the right home, in the location we really like and at a price we could afford. Whether through fate or divine intervention, sometimes your path leads you to exactly the right people at the right time. That's what happened for us when we needed to find a new home in southern California, within commute distance of Lorin's new job in Irvine. The wonderful RE-team of Judy Szamos and Brian Caroselli has been absolutely superb for us. We presented them with a rather difficult list of requirements, even demands: horse property, lot and house size, location (of course), rural community, financing conditions -- and even the need to find the house, make the offer, and then drive-it-to-closing within about 3 weeks! Brian and Judy accepted our challenge with grace and aplomb, and immediately went to work locating prospectives. We set a Saturday for a first-tour, and!... We immediately settled on house #3! The seller was motivated for a quick closing too, so by the following Monday, our RE-team had tendered our offer, helped us respond to the counter, got us all to quick and fair acceptance, and then helped us negotiate through the thicket of home-seller/buyer paperwork. Our financial guy, Matt Humphrey was also a superhero throughout this process, so it really was a great team effort. They kept us fully informed, on-task, and made the whole thing work, exceeding our expectations in the process! Upshot: We bought a house in roughly 14 days flat, complete with a household move from Colorado! Your mileage may vary, don't expect to always do this, as several things "fell into place" for both the sellers and us. Some of it was luck, but having the right team at our side was essential to pulling this off at all. A responsive, experienced, patient, and good-humored RE-team on your side is the key ingredient -- Brian and Judy performed flawlessly! We love our new home; the horses arrived "last night", cats and dogs are settled in, and we're unpacking slowly. Judy was my excellent Realtor selling 720 4th St in Encinitas. I received 3 full price offers in the first 3 days of listing.
