Helped me buy home

Michael was great at explaining the process step by step! He answered all my questions and made himself available whenever I needed. As a first time home buyer, I learned a lot about the home buying process. Gave me great insight as to what to expect along every part of the journey. I highly recommend working with him!

Look no further! Michael is your unicorn!!! You want him on your team. I cannot stop raving about him. I felt like his only client, due to his prompt responses (7am or 11pm) and availability (able to show me a house the day and time I needed); for the record I know he was juggling other clients. His expertise in the market-region and real estate sector is evident. He is your biggest advocate (against everyone, even you!). If he sensed my hesitation he would ask me questions to dig deep and understand the root of my hesitation. He would provide resources and data to give me the confidence I needed to proceed. I never felt pressured by him, he is ready to work at your pace, and he is an absolute gem. I can go on an on about how spectacular he is. Yet, will end with sharing that at the end of January we met and by mid-March he handed me my house keys. XDTHANK YOU, MICHAEL!!!

Helped me buy home

We talked to a few different real estate agents, but landed on Michael. He was very easy to work with, very responsive, and catered to our budget and needs. He was realistic to us about the market, and did not pressure us. He's very knowledgeable, and we felt very comfortable asking him our infinite number of questions. He was always available via text, phone call, or email. Things moved very quickly with Michael. We interviewed him on the phone, 2 days later we saw a house we liked, Michael sent us the disclosures, we put in an offer, the seller countered, we countered again. And BAM! Our offer was accepted. It was very stressful, and if it weren't for Michael's negotiation skills, we wouldn't have gotten the house. He was there every step of the way, and we definitely needed that as first time home buyers. Michael is great at his job, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a seasoned real estate agent.

Listed and sold a home

Michael did an excellent job of selling my home recently in a timely manner. He was personable, efficient, & knowledgeable from his expertise as a realtor & broker. He advised pertinent steps to take in prep of the market listing/sale .. always responding to my inquiries with appropriate guidance.I would have appreciated more ‘visible’ hands-on assistance & personal follow-thru than the only 1 initial meeting we had at the onset of our discussions. As this was a new experience for me … I simply expected more hand-holding & on-the-spot guidance.

Helped me buy home

No matter the rating, I am now a homeowner. Michael was my agent. We spent 3 weeks browsing, 1 week in negotiations, and 30 days in escrow. Badda-bing, badda-boom. Here's my review in narrative form: If buying a home were like playing a game of chess, Michael is a person who knows all of the pieces and knows how each of them move on the board. His understanding made Michael a great person to have negotiating on my behalf. He has a good mix of personality and professionalism. He's personable but not chummy, in my opinion. And he doesn't offer too much input in terms of style. I think this is an effort to let you come to your own decision about a piece of property. But as someone who values detail, I would have liked more explanations of the internal properties of homes, especially since I haven't seen as many homes as I'm sure Michael has. Otherwise, he's very patient with the buyer but knows how to put pressure on the seller. He is a true buyers agent. And these traits are important traits to look for in your agent if you are brand new to home buying and if you anticipate any resistance on your part as you move throughout the process. I had questions at every turn. And it's a process that involves a lot of emotion and even hostility since major life decisions and money are being handled. You want someone who doesn't take things personally and who can handle the different emotions from sellers, agents, lenders, and even protective family members. The only reason I gave Michael a "likely" instead of "highly likely" is that he's brutally honest. I told him I might want to check for some homes in a more affluent neighborhood (some homes were within my range but their HOAs were too high) and Michael kind of chuckled and said we wouldn't find anything for me there. He was right, of course. I couldn't afford much there. But we never even looked. He's practical. I'm optimistic. Also, you have to be clear about what you want when working with Michael, including price range. I wanted to stay within a certain range and many of the homes I was shown in the beginning were higher than what I was comfortable with even though my bank would have still approved of the loan amount. I should have communicated this more clearly earlier on in the process. Michael chose homes that were on the higher end. The home I eventually chose and bought with Michael's expert help was a home I had to fight for. Michael had skipped over it and chose not to show it to me because it was likely not going to be approved by my lender. But I inquired with my lender who said they would fund a loan for said property. So you have to know what you want and push a little. Michael is more than willing to pursue it if it's what you want. In the very beginning of the process, after being contacted by my financial institution, Michael called me and assured me that I didn't need to shop around for other agents since he is the broker for his firm and manages more than 50 other agents. He also told me that he wouldn't pass me off to any other agents. Those were the exact words I needed to hear as a young professional and first-time home buyer. He also gave me his cell phone number and told me I could reach out to him with any question what so ever at any time. At first, being so knew, I wasn't sure why I would ever have any pressing needs to text him. But finding a home I liked was only half the battle. Turns out I'd have questions about fine print negotiation items, insurance, terminology, deadlines, contracts, and more. Michael was true to his word. In many ways, I thought my particular home buying experience was a piece-of-cake for Michael. He's an excellent negotiator. To have Michael as an agent is to have a cheat code in the game of real estate, but don't tell Michael. He works around the clock. He sent a document to my email at 11:00 pm once, which means he works outside of traditional hours to make sure your offer is seen on time, if not first. It's not cheating. It's just true diligence and hard work. He knows how to work with sellers and agents since he knows the business very well.

Michael was amazing to work with! He made the otherwise overwhelming home buying experience exciting and put us at ease. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and took great care to ensure we had our questions answered and needs met. Knowing he had our best interests in mind and having him in our corner provided us with the utmost confidence while finding our new home. We appreciate everything he did for us. Thank you Michael!

Listed and sold a home

I have read reviews where people did not like being so-called cold called by Michael. I am glad he had called me. I was an estate administrator who lived in Oregon and did not want to travel during the pandemic. I did not know much about house sales, and I knew nothing about the market in California.I had first talked with another realtor who offered to list the house at a price far lower than I wanted. I decided to call Michael. He immediately responded, and we got the house listed for almost $250,000 more. There was a lot of work I had to do, no doubt, and I wish I had known more about the process. When Michael asked me for decisions, I asked for his opinion. He liked that. I did, too. I needed his opinion. From the first offer (< 1 day on the market, offer accepted and raised without my saying anything, your results may vary) to closing was 26 days, and a lot of that was statutory given the legal situation. We could have closed 10 days earlier. His staff was helpful in recommending people to deal with what needed to be fixed and dealing with the immense amount of paperwork that it entails. I never like the paperwork, but it was about as painless as it could be. I got the house sold at what I wanted. If you are dealing with an estate sale in the Bay Area, and you don't want to travel, I would recommend calling Michael.

Helped me buy home

Michael was very friendly, knowledgable, and responsive. He helped me realize my options in multiple Bay Area neighborhoods and provided me with detailed information of each property. Micheal did a great job in negotiating and smoothly closing a nice deal on my first single family house.

Michael was amazing and extremely supportive during the home buying process! He was available and very responsive to questions and requests for showings. He gave great advice when it was time to make an offer and advocated for us during the negotiation process. He was also very supportive through the closing process.Highly recommend and would absolutely work with Michael again!

Great connections and knowledgeable knows the Bay Area was able to negotiate the sale of our property. He was able to connect with a buyer and able to close in only 21 days!
