Leslie: "I am a Native to Colorado and a mother of 3 daughters. I experienced a simple life growing up in Alamosa Colorado. My parents bought their first home at a Public Trustee Sale in 1968 and became proud owners of a small, adobe house and an acre of blowing sand. My 4 sisters and I participated in the fixing of our dilapidated, dirt floored adobe home...until it became a place of smiles, memories, and traditions. Years of planting, fixing, weeding, mowing, sewing, canning, sweeping, washing, and digging taught me determination, negotiation (out of chores), hard work and the combined strength of being part of a team. It taught me the meaning of "home".
Bob: "I moved to Littleton when I was 6. Denver was still considered to be a "horse town". My father was a consultant for Oil and Gas in the 1970's. I witnessed Denver’s growth with emerging skyscrapers and the creation of new subdivisions. I grew up in Old Littleton, next to Bemis Library. In the 80's I witnessed John Elway, big hair, amazing concerts at Big Mac(McNichols Arena) & the Coliseum and the development of new cities. I could not have guessed that the acres where I went horseback riding and target shooting would become Greenwood Village. The places my friends and I would go to "get out of town" are now a part of Highlands Ranch. My daughters are able to experience all the great things that I grew up with because, although Denver and its suburbs now comprise a large City, it still keeps that small-town feel. I enjoy being able share with them the mountains and the rustic parts of Colorado as well as the finer restaurants, shopping and blue-ribbon schools. Littleton/Centennial is the place we proudly call home."
