About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting our website.  We hope the various reference pages we’ve provided will help you throughout your property buying and/or selling process.

We, along with our two dogs, came to Denver from the East Coast because we wanted the type of lifestyle that Colorado provides.  We wanted the option of living in one of the country’s most exciting urban centers, but also be able to reach the mountains or plains with just a short drive.  Since arriving, our love of this beautiful state and our appreciation for the wonderful people who call Colorado “home” has only continued to grow.  It was our enthusiasm for all things Colorado that guided us toward our decision to change careers and become Real Estate Brokers.  As we grow our family business, we hope to continue helping others live the Colorado dream by assisting them with their real estate transactions.

From the Eastern Plains . . . to the Front Range . . . and beyond, we promise to provide you with the first-rate service you deserve and hope you’ll give us the opportunity to work with you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have or to schedule a consultation.

We have helped numerous clients purchase and sell their homes in both Denver proper and the surrounding communities.  As Real Estate Brokers and licensed attorneys, our knowledge of property law and current trends in the real estate market, along with our experience in working with contracts and negotiating deals, allows us to help each of our clients navigate the real estate transaction process with confidence and ease.  Most importantly, it is our goal to ensure that each of  our clients has a positive experience from initial contract through closing.

Before I became a licensed Real Estate Broker, I received my law degree from Vermont Law School.  Licensed in both Maryland and Colorado, I previously worked for the Maryland Attorney General, the Baltimore City Judiciary, and a small law firm where I specialized in toxic tort litigation.  Although I am no longer practicing as an attorney, my background in the legal field gives me an edge in the real estate industry that cannot be overestimated.

In addition to my work in the traditional real estate market, I have worked as an instructor for individuals going through the Colorado Real Estate Broker's pre-licensing course and as a mentor for new Colorado Real Estate Brokers.  Moreover, I have earned the special designation of Certified Residential Investment Specialist (CRIS).  This designation allows me to advise and assist investors in making sound real estate investments with regard to a variety of projects, including fix-and-flips, buy-and-holds, and lease options transactions.

Like David, I received my J.D. from Vermont Law School and—before obtaining my Real Estate Broker’s license—worked as an Assistant Counsel for the Circuit Court of Baltimore City in Baltimore, MD and, most recently as a Victim/Witness Advocate for the District Attorney’s Office in the 18th Judicial District of Colorado.

Beyond my work as a Real Estate Broker, attorney, and advocate, I also acted as the general contractor overseeing all aspects of the extensive renovations David and I undertook when we purchased our own home.  As general contractor, I obtained estimates, priced and purchased materials and fixtures, and researched, hired, and managed the sub-contractors who performed the work needed during our months long renovation.  I even helped with some of the dirty work!  This experience, though stressful, provided me with an amazing opportunity to become better acquainted with the details that go into rehabbing an older home—information I'm happy to share with anyone considering a similar project.
