Are you thinking of buying or selling a property and wonder if you even need to hire a realtor? In this video, I’m going to walk you through the roles that a realtor plays when you're buying or selling a home. I’ll explain the many different hats your agent puts on and how they help you have a successful transaction.
Consultant And Teacher
These days, people think that realtors are only there to open and close doors for you. The truth is that realtors wear many hats and have many roles. By understanding the different roles a realtor plays, you can decide if you need to hire one.
The first hat that a realtor wears is that of a consultant and teacher. Have you considered whether you’re making the right move? Have you considered all aspects of this investment? Where does the home process of buying or selling a home even begin? While we already know the answers, it’s our job to make sure you are fully educated on the process so you know exactly what you're getting into before you sign on the dotted line.
Home Designer And Tour Guide
The next hat that a realtor wears is that of a home designer. If you’re selling a property and want to get top dollar, you really need to make it look great. That means getting rid of all the junk and clutter so you can make it look pristine and be ready to show.
Did you also know that your realtor is your tour guide? Selling or buying a home has everything to do with knowing what's going on in the community. This means knowing everything about the neighborhood including schools, shopping, lifestyle, and development. This will allow you to know what's going on in the area.
Therapist And WWF Wrestler
When we eventually find the property you want to purchase or find a buyer who wants to purchase your property, my next hat gets put on and I become your therapist. Every transaction has bumps in the road; it just happens. But don't worry about it. I've got you, and I'll be right here. It’s going to be okay.
And when those bumps in the road happen, I become my next role: the WWF wrestler. The reason you need a realtor is that you need somebody to advocate for you. You need a negotiator to make sure that, when these hiccups happen, somebody makes them go away. And as your realtor, I will be the one that puts them in a headlock for you so you get what you want. Otherwise, we won't move forward with the deal.
Is Working With An Agent Right For You?
As you can see, opening doors and letting buyers see houses is only a small part of a realtor’s job. There are a lot of other moving parts and a lot of things that need to happen that the realtor needs to keep in line. Buying and selling real estate does not need to be stressful, and it does not need to be time-consuming. This is why you need to hire a realtor.
I hope this helped you understand most of the roles of a realtor. So if you're looking for a realtor who wears many hats and can get you the results that you want with your real estate transaction, give me a call and I’d be happy to help.
