Scarsdale is a condominium and the single-family home community consisting of about 550 homes. These homes are located in Arlington Heights, Illinois south of Northwest Highway and north of Central Rd and East of Arlington Heights Rd. This wonderful planned community offers a very custom feeling. Most homes were built in the late 1940s and 1950s. Recently there has been some teardown activity and so there are some "McMansions" that are much newer.
There are currently 17 homes on the market. The attached homes are in the <$ 225000, while the single-family is above $350000.
Scarsdale Estates, south of Park St and North of Central is unique in Arlington Heights with 1/2 acre sites. Originally the homes were all individual wells, but since most homeowners have converted to City Water. The home sale ranges from $279900 (a foreclosure) to $1175000.
Dryden Elementary School and South Middle School from District 25 service this area, as well as District 214 Prospect High School.
Less than a mile away east of Arlington Heights Rd are Northwest Community Hospital and Health center as well as Pioneer Park, a community center with outdoor pools, tennis courts, basketball and great field for sports such as soccer and baseball.
Both areas have a voluntary Homeowners association exclusive to people in the neighborhood. The neighbors plan October fest, Christmas decorations, Easter egg hunts and more.
