Helped me buy and sell homes

Chris helped us sell and buy a home in 2019 and this review is long overdue. I can’t recommend Chris enough. He’s an absolute expert at the process and represented us well both as sellers and buyers. He’s responsive basically 24 hours a day, proactively notifies you of important details about a home your interested in (e.g., pulling traffic volume on the street in front of the house we bought) and is a great sounding board. Buying or selling a home is stressful and emotional. Chris makes it easy. I plan to use him again in the future and recommend him all the time.

Helped me buy home

I feel so fortunate to have had Chris as our realtor. My wife and I are first time home buyers and had talked to a few realtors before meeting Chris that we did not feel comfortable working with who were condescending and made us feel like a number. Chris on the other hand, makes you feel like his only client and first priority. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. Being first time home buyers we had many questions during the offer writing process and Chris graciously and accurately answered each and every one. In this crazy market, it took us 5 tried before one of our offers was accepted and we probably toured 20 properties all over Seattle over 4 months with Chris. He always made himself available for tours and has a keen eye for potential issues with the property which was invaluable given that in this market, the inspection contingency needs to be waived to be competitive. I never felt that Chris was in a rush to close a sale with us. He truly wanted us to find a place that we loved and that is exactly what happened. His real estate knowledge and professionalism is unmatched and I would highly recommend him as a realtor to anyone looking in the Seattle market. Thank you for everything, Chris!

Helped me buy home

This year I bought my first home, and Chris was an amazing help with the whole process! I have been renting in Ballard for 5+ years now and wanted to invest in owning my own home instead of continuing to rent. I found Chris on Zillow, and he was very responsive. Within the week we were looking at properties. The things I liked most about Chris:1. He was well informed and patiently talked me through everything about the market and the process of putting in an offer. He also connected me with a great local lender who helped me understand the mortgage application process.2. Chris was straightforward about what it would take to get an offer accepted, but he was never pushy. We went through putting together an entire offer, and in the end he was very kind about me not submitting it and said it was good practice for me to get used to the process.3. He was very responsive and always available for questions. We needed to set up a last minute pre-inspection for a home, and he was able to make that happen even during the Seattle blizzard. Thanks to his help I beat out five other offers when I did submit, and I bought a home I am happy with.

Showed me homes

I saw this house listed online and really wanted to tour it because it is my ancestral home. My great grandfather built it in 1912. He lived there. So did my grandfather and my father. I never lived there, but my father spoke of it, and we used to drive by when I was a child, but I never got to see inside since at that point it was owned by someone else. Since it was listed, this was my only chance to tour it prior to selling again. I found Chris online and reached out to him on a whim asking if he would be willing to spend some of his time to give me a tour. I told him that I am not in the position to buy this, or any other property, and that I just wanted to tour for sentimental reasons. Chris was very understanding and agreed to spend his time giving me a tour anyway. He said he was happy to do so because it’s good karma and he understands my sentimental reasons. Chris was very friendly and personable. He knew a lot about the neighborhood, describing how much of Ballard during the early 1900’s was orchard and that the house next door was probably a vacant parcel that my father told me once was the site of the family chicken coop. He explained that it made sense since the neighboring property was built in the mid 1900’s, well after my ancestral home was built. He also spoke about many aspects of the home and property such as how some aspects were original and some were updates made in the mid to late 1900’s. Anyway, I thought I would leave this review since Chris was so kind and willing to spend his time with me even though he knew he wouldn’t earn a paycheck. He’s an upstanding person and I highly recommend him to anyone else. Thanks Chris!

Helped me buy home

Chris is a consummate professional and exceeded all expectations for the condo purchasing process. From the showing through the closure, Chris’ experience really shined through as he provided both regional context about the building/neighborhood and candid suggestions to ensure the process went smoothly. He kept me informed throughout and was quick to answer all of my questions at any time of day. I can’t recommend Chris highly enough and would recommend him to any friends and family!

Chris was great! Gave a wonderful tour of the condo and all the amenities and was able to answer all questions. I was highly impressed with Chris and he went above and beyond to explain everything in the listing as well as the neighborhood and common things to look out for.

Listed and sold a home

I was given the task to sell one of my brother's properties in the Tacoma area. While I am a real estate broker in CA I had no connections to a local Tacoma realtor. My brother found Chris in the US Naval Academy Alumni magazine, Shipmate and I went along with his wishes to hire a fellow alumni. I really enjoyed working with him and found him honest, hard-working, and very knowledgeable about market conditions. This transaction was an easy, seamless sale process, and that he went the extra mile to do things like coordinate major clean up and removal of items from the property as well as make a personal delivery of remaining items to my brother’s other home 20 miles away. Thanks Chris!

Helped me buy home

We worked with Chris as first-time home buyers and can't thank him enough for walking us through what to expect and supporting us throughout the process. Chris was readily available whenever we wanted to schedule tours and always responded to our questions quickly. We actually did get under-contract for one house but after a not-so-great inspection he fully supported our decision to terminate that purchase. Instead, we went back on the search and ended up with a place that is much better for us.

Helped me buy home

As a first time home buyer Chris was patience and very responsive to all of my questions. When we toured the condo he was very knowledgeable about the area and helped me understand the basics of condo ownership. It was a pretty stress experience purchasing my first home but Chris made the it as stress free as possible. Overall I highly recommend Chris.

Listed and sold a home

Chris and I first met back in business school at UW 10+ years ago. In addition to being in the same program, we were in the same core team as well for the first year. That meant, we got to know each other really well!! Fast forward to April 2022, my wife got a job offer in Virginia and we decided to sell the Fremont condo and move. I had lived in this condo for 8+ years and loved the place. My wife's company required us to move quickly. So we had to get the condo ready/prepped for the listing and sell it - while packing - all in less than two months. To top it all off, we were going on vacation for 2 weeks. So it meant the condo would get on the market at the earliest in May after we got back from vacation and the condo was prepped. But then, we'd have no time to pack or there'd be boxes and boxes all over the place - something that buyers really don't want to see. The week before the vacation in mid-April, I was meeting with a few different realtors to ensure I made the best decision. The quality of service, timing and expedition were very important to me. Equally critical was someone who'd handle the entire process on their own without requiring me to do the work. From our initial discussion, it was clear that Chris was the right person for this task. Chris' dedication, knowledge and passion were unparalleled. While all other agents suggested to list the condo after the vacation and when I had moved out - in early June. So essentially, they recommended to wait for 1.5 months. Chris on the other hand understood my timeline and the changing trends of the market. He suggested getting the condo ready and listing it while I was on vacation. So to be clear - he wanted to fix, clean, photograph, and list between April 18 and May 2 - while I was out travelling. I didn't really think it was possible. On April 18, I handed him the key before catching the plane. By April 21, he had staged, photographed and listed the condo. By April 26, we had a signed contract in hand. And I was still on vacation!!Anything I say about Chris underestimates the level of service he provides. Chris is always focused on doing the right thing for the client even if it means a financial loss for him. Trust me, if you are looking for a real estate agent in the Seattle, hands down Chris is your guy! I vouch for him!
