Will We Get To Go Trick-or-Treating This Year?

Posted On: October 4th, 2020 7:13PM

Wow!  It's October!  Halloween is almost upon us.  I love driving through the different neighborhoods of Seattle with my kids and admiring all the spooky Halloween decorations.

Real spider webs are everywhere to compliment the over-sized ones made our of cotton and batting.

Fall is in the air and we made our first batch of stew last night.  Yum!

Trick or Treating For Halloween

Halloween Questions...

The big question on my mind is what we will do for Halloween.  With social distancing concerns, will people welcome us to trick or treat at their houses, or will they want us to stay far away?  We can certainly incorporate masks into our costumes, at least!

The Seattle Market is Hot Despite Covid's Lingering Concerns

Posted On: October 4th, 2020 6:47PM

Although 2020 has been a rough year by anyone's standards, some would say Seattle had it harder than most.

After months of the Coronavirus pandemic, we experienced the CHAZ/CHOP occupation and BLM demonstrations in downtown Seattle at Capitol Hill, and then closed off the summer with weeks of smoke and fire concerns across the state and south into Oregon and California.

Despite all this, it seems the real estate market is unaffected, and in fact, Seattle has been ranked as one of the fastest markets to recover from Coronavirus in the entire country.

What we are seeing in the market is very low inventory - not many people are putting their houses up for sale.  We are also seeing historically low interest rates, which means it's easier for buyers to afford the new home they've been wanting.

So, altogether we are seeing a strong demand from buyers, mulitiple offer situations and strong pricing trends.  It's a great time to be a seller in Seattle.

If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling real estate, you can reach out to me for expert advise in entering this fast-moving market.
