For those who will purchase or sell a home in the next few years or who have friends in the same situation, I want to share a personal experience. Goska Baker represented me as the Buyer’s agent in a purchase of a home and met or exceeded every expectation. My search started early in 2014 while I watched the “investors bubble” begin to deflate and then began in earnest early in 2015. She was patient and responsive to my many questions and even willing to look at and not laugh too much at amateur spreadsheets I used to put some perspective to a truly weird Valley market. She was clearly superior to any Seller’s agent we encountered and even found and corrected numerous mistakes made in the MLS listings by these agents on the two homes (of many visited in our “road trips”) that I seriously considered. Beyond doing a major part (and correctly) of the Seller’s agents work, she also found and corrected errors on the part of the transaction lender especially in the area of HOA disclosure and transfer fees and reserve funds. She even organized a 5:30am call to the Pennsylvania location of the underwriter for one HOA insurance policy so the Title company would have correct documents for closing. Then she landed on the lender w/ both feet to ensure the wire transfer was completed on a Friday before a holiday and working w/ the Title company the same day predicted w/in ten minutes when the county would be able to record the sale so I could begin the dreaded move of my stuff!! Just an outstanding effort, and I recommend her services highly.

I would recommend Goska to anyone that is looking for a new home. The process of home buying can be intimidating and can go wrong fast but with Goska it was a good experience. She is, as well as the people she works with are very good at communication. I was able to talk to Goska and the people she recommended anytime that I needed to. We were able to close in just over 3 weeks time so that was amazingly fast. She knew the area well and she is very aware of her own limits which I think sets her apart from other realtors. Negotiation can be difficult and in the end, the final deal was extremely close to what we had initially offered so it was very well negotiated. That was impressive and that speaks volumes to both her negotiation skills as well as her local knowledge of the market.
