Michelle takes great pride in telling everyone about Pensacola, Florida and the surrounding communities. To learn more about local characteristics, take a look at these city descriptions.

Pensacola There is no shortage of entertainment, and Pensacola prides itself on its diverse and emerging cultures. Annual festivals, events, and performances display the region’s greatest musicians, food, artists, shows, and vendors that captivate the heart and history of the area. Residents benefit from an abundance of resources, from the more than 40 primary and secondary schools which boast some of the highest standardized test scores in the state, to area hospitals and retirement homes which have won numerous awards and continuously rank among the best in the state.

Milton Milton, adjacent to Blackwater River, is the county seat of Santa Rosa County. The City of Milton is among the oldest cities in Florida, incorporated in 1844. Today, Milton is known as the Canoe Capital of Florida and the home of Whiting Field.

Pace The fastest-growing community in Santa Rosa County, Florida, with thousands of residents living in Pace Fl 32571 and more pouring in daily, Pace is quickly becoming Florida’s most desired places to live. With its excellent public schools, recreation associations, public parks, law enforcement agencies, military support, and the very best quality of life, Pace is one of the fastest growing community in Northwest Florida. Population figures for Pace have skyrocketed over the last decade; from 5,000 in 2010 to more than 53,000 today.

Molino Molino, FL is located on the western tip of Florida Panhandle on Pensacola Bay along the Gulf Coast. Because of the strategic location and harbor protection, Pensacola has a rich and varied history. It has “changed hands” among nations 13 times, with periods of French, British, and Spanish occupation. A lumber boom in the late 1800’s also left its mark on architecture and historic sites. Today the city has a strong military presence with the Pensacola Naval Air Station, headquarters of the Blue Angels. Educational attainment is fairly high for a town of this type, and the 9000-student University of West Florida adds a college town element.

Cantonment Cantonment is home to approximately 2,400 residents, in addition to, the district’s most prominent industry, the International Paper Mill. Located approximately 5 miles north of Escambia County’s Ensley Redevelopment District, and 10 miles north of the City of Pensacola, Cantonment offers the slower-paced lifestyle of suburbia with close access to amenities and shopping located in nearby Pensacola.

Beulah On July 23, 1880 residents held a meeting in the center of the community with intentions to choose a name and found a village. After long and careful deliberation and because they were God loving people, they chose the name Beulah which is found in the Bible and added Springs, for the springs that were in existence at the time close to the Baptist Church. Beulah Springs, Florida came into existence. The small post office was close to the church on what is now Beulah Church Road.

Downtown Pensacola  Dating back 450 years as the first European settlement in the United States, Pensacola has a rich and colorful history. The heart of the City of Pensacola is its downtown. A refreshing blend of historic resolve and cosmopolitan progress defines Downtown Pensacola.

Gulf Breeze Gulf Breeze is located on the end of the Fairpoint peninsula and is the “front porch” to Pensacola Beach. Our peninsula city is separated to the north by a three mile bridge across Pensacola Bay from the City of Pensacola and to the south by the Bob Sikes Bridge over Santa Rosa Sound to Pensacola Beach. On the east, landward up the peninsula to the east is the 1,329 acre Naval Live Oaks portion of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. As a result, residents enjoy a quiet residential community just a few minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and the City of Pensacola. Gulf Breeze has 18 miles of waterfront and three protected bayous where residents enjoy all sorts of waterfront activities. The City has one of the best boat ramps in the area in close proximity to the Pensacola pass. There are 105 acres of undeveloped park property along the water for a leisurely walk in the woods.

Navarre  Navarre, a compact beach community found just east of Pensacola at the far northwestern tip of the state, beckons with 12 miles of pristine white shoreline. Nestled between Gulf Islands National Seashore and Navarre Beach Marine Park, this beach community offers solitude and simplicity. Its pristine beaches are named among the best in the nation year after year, and visitors compare crossing Navarre Bridge to transcending paradise time and time again. Relaxation is the main attraction in Navarre. Visitors can sun on the beach, swim in emerald waters, enjoy a picnic in the park or pedal along a scenic bike path.

Perdido Key Located on a narrow strip of snow-white beaches and crystal blue waters, Perdido Key is located in the Northwest Panhandle of Florida, between Pensacola, Florida, and Orange Beach, Alabama. No more than a few hundred yards wide in most places, Perdido Key stretches some 16 miles, with almost 60 percent of it located in federal or state parks – making it one of the last remaining unblemished stretches of wilderness in the Florida Panhandle.  The Perdido Community is a unique area covering both Alabama and Florida.
