Renovated Atlanta Homes Under $350,000

Posted On: July 4th, 2020 12:16AM

Looking to buy an Atlanta home the is still affordable?  There are two areas that I think are great buys right now in the city.  Just spent the day viewing homes in both of these areas and there are still great buys available for the homeowner looking for city living in a renovated home close to the Beltline, Mercedes Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena and all of the development on the Westside of Atlanta.

First: Pittsburgh/Adair Park

This area has 3 bed/2 bath homes selling for all the way up to $499,000!  But, it also still has plenty of gorgeously renovated homes for under $350,000.  You won't get a renovated home for under $300,000 in this part of town anymore, but the way homes are flying off the market, you should be ready to act quickly to score one at this price point!

Next, how about Center Hill?

This area isn't as far along in the redevelopment as Pittsburgh/Adair Park but with all of the Westside development of the Beltline, Westside Quarry for example, it's only a matter of time.  And prices are right.  The most expensive listing is $289,900 currently with prices as low as the low $200s for fully renovated homes!  This is absolutely an opportunity to get in the city before this area gets too developed and prices rise.  Expect it to follow the trajectory of Pittsburgh/Adair Park.

New to Atlanta?

Whether you are new to the metro Atlanta area coming from a state near or far or you are OTP considering an ITP move, it's helpful to learn aboout Atlanta's unique neigborhoods to find one that suits you and/or your families' preferences.  I have not found an Atlanta neighborhood that I don't appreciate.  Whether north, south, east, or west, what makes Atlanta beautiful and a special place to call home is its diversity and a homebuyer's ability to find just the right neighborhood.  Then the proximity of all the other neighborhoods gives an ITP Atlanta resident quick and easy access to all of the other wonderful parts of the city to visit!

Check out these links to dive more into Atlanta's neighborhoods to help you hone in on some neighborhoods you'd like to explore:

What school district should I move to?

Posted On: June 6th, 2020 12:42AM

This is one of the most common questions families need to consider when buying a new home.  But who do you listen to?  How do you know the "real deal" on schools in areas you are searching?  It's so hard to know, especially if you are new to the area or parents of young children who haven't started school yet.

Luckily, there are a variety of online reviews and websites to help you dig in to the facts on specific school zones, schools, and districts. Try these sites.  Often looking at a few different sites will give you the best idea.

Still have questions?  I am well versed in metro Atlanta schools and happy to help answer your questions and provide insight!

Choosing your child's school is an important decision and one that is directly tied to the home you purchase!  Taking the time to vet the schools in the areas you are looking will be time well spent.
