Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights is a suburb of Chicago that lies about 25 miles northwest of the city's downtown. Home to just over 75,000 residents Arlington Heights is the most populous community in the U.S. to be classified as a village. The people who call Arlington Heights home enjoy the small-town charm and amenities.

The downtown area is home to many wonderful shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. In addition, the Arlington Heights Park District is one of the oldest and considered to be one of the most elaborate park systems in the Chicago area. Pair all of this with the highly rated school district, some may say this town is hard to beat.

I'm not only a huge advocate of Arlington Heights, I'm also a resident. My wife and I moved to Arlington Heights in the summer of 2017 and we absolutely love living here. The community checked nearly every item on our list. Pair that with an excellent downtown it was an easy decision for us to choose Arlington Heights as our new home.

Glenview

Glenview is an affluent suburban village located in Cook County, Illinois on The North Shore. Glenview is a quiet, charming village 20 miles outside the city of Chicago. In addition to a lovely downtown area, the neighborhood offers The Glen, an entertainment, shopping, and dining district. Its prairie trails and wetlands provide a pleasant environment for outdoor recreation. With its highly-rated school system, Glenview is a perfect place to raise children of all ages.

Fort Sheridan

Fort Sheridan is a residential neighborhood spread among Lake Forest, Highwood, and Highland Park in Lake County, Illinois. It was originally established as Fort Sheridan, a United States Army Post named after Civil War Cavalry General Philip Sheridan, to honor his services to Chicago. The army closed the Fort in 1993, and the area now consists of some of the finest homes in the North Shore.

Nestled between the shores of Lake Michigan, the area provides a unique combination of nature for outdoors enthusiasts. From beach access and hiking trails, to breathtaking lake and ravine views, Fort Sheridan residents can enjoy 365 days of exquisite nature in every direction. The areas real estate consists of historically significant homes, newer luxury built homes, and condominiums. It's close proximity to downtown Highwood and Highland Park provides many shopping and dining option for its residents.

Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect, Illinois is a northwest suburb located about 22 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. With a diverse population of over 54,000, an extensive school system and a strong base of both retail and professional businesses, The village is vibrant community that has much to offer, yet retains a sense of small town charm. In addition to a charming downtown area, Randhurst Village offers an outstanding dining, entertainment, and shopping experience.

Park Ridge

Park Ridge is located just northwest of Chicago, along the "Golden Corridor," and offers all the benefits of suburban living – good schools, abundant green space, a sense of community – situated within a stone's throw of the city's dining, cultural and entertainment destinations.

Park Ridge's own vibrant downtown area (known as "Uptown") is anchored by the Pickwick Theater, a 1920s-era, art deco building that serves as the community's signature landmark.

Park Ridge is located approximately 15 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, and its southeastern border abuts the city's Edison Park and Norwood Park neighborhoods. It's close to O'Hare International Airport, as well as several major expressways and rail lines, making it an ideal option for commuters.

Evanston

Evanston is the first city immediately north of Chicago on Lake Michigan's western shore. Evanston is home of the honorable Northwestern University. Known for its beautiful homes and lakefront festivals, Evanston is filled with entertainment, shopping, theatres, and plenty of great places to dine. From Dempster street shopping to the Lakeshore Arts Festival you will never get bored.
