God places individuals in certain situations and tend to open up doors when other says no or have different agendas. For this I can definitely provide a testament. I always wanted to be a home owner. It was a dream I started from when I was a little kid. I watched my mom work hard in providing me and my siblings a roof over our head and an environment we can call our own. She taught us to work hard for what we wanted and be faithful in the goals we seek. These were values that was instilled in me from day one and what I passed along now that I have children. So I started the home ownership process. I went through a financial institution to apply and get pre-approved for a loan. At first I was really excited, turning in all my paperwork, making sure my credit was on-point, and doing everything this financial institution asked of me, but I noticed the person I was working with would never return my calls, had sporadic follow-ups with me, and requested more and more documentation. As a matter of fact I would have to touch-base with them more for status, then they checked in with me. I found this strange, but at the same time I thought this was part of the buying process. Four months later, I was still not at the point where I felt I was not getting anywhere. At that point I was so disheartened, disappointed, and honestly frustrated that I decided to give up my dreams of being a homeowner and try the rent to own or outright rent a home until better news came about. It wasn’t until one day I went to a showing for a house to rent that my luck changed. The realtor/property manager and I were in general conversation about the house she was showing me and the conversation switched over to an inquiry and she said “Mr. Bell, what exactly are you looking for? You have too many questions to just wanting to rent a home”. I explained my history and experience with the financial institution I was previously working with, so she said I have an idea, I can definitely get you approved based on the information you provided to me, let me put you in contact with a lender I typically work with. I spoke to the lender and sent over everything I sent to the previous financial institution and was pre-approved within a couple days, compared to working with the other institution well over three months just to try and get pre-approved. I went through the process with the lender, got approved, Rhonda exemplified the most outstanding professionalism I have ever come across in regards to details, advice, showing genuine concern, and be a blessing to me and my family. As of November of 2017 I became a first-time homeowner and been loving it since, which leads to my original statement that God places people in your life for a reason and as long as you stay faithful to your goal, he’ll open doors and make the impossible possible!!!
