Arizona’s Largest Real Estate Brokerage Donated Over 1,200 lbs. of Non-Perishable Food

PHOENIX — July 14, 2025 — HomeSmart, headquartered in Scottsdale and one of the nation’s top real estate brokerages as well as the largest in Arizona, was recently inducted into local nonprofit St. Vincent de Paul’s “1,000 Pounds Club” for donating 1,240 pounds of non-perishable food items in November 2024. The 1,000 Pounds Club recognizes organizations that donate 1,000 or more pounds of food to the nonprofit during any single drive.
“Food is one of the most important things that we all need as humans, and one of the most important missions at St. Vincent de Paul,” says Shannon Clancy, CEO of St. Vincent de Paul.
While the nonprofit hosted 800 food drives in Arizona last year, only 28 organizations supplied donations that qualified for the 1,000 Pounds Club, ranking HomeSmart within the top 3.5% of contributing companies. St. Vincent de Paul typically distributes 50 pounds of non-perishable food items per family served, meaning that HomeSmart’s donation alone helped feed approximately 24 Arizona families.
“HomeSmart is proud to serve as a consistent donor for St. Vincent de Paul. We recognize the incredible work they do each and every day, and look forward to continuing our support with food donations during the upcoming 2025 holiday season,” said Jayme DeVary, Director of People Operations at HomeSmart.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has served communities in central and northern Arizona since 1946. The nonprofit’s extensive programming includes housing and shelter for people experiencing homelessness, as well as general assistance for families and individuals living in poverty: charity dining rooms serving thousands daily, medical and dental care for uninsured patients, distribution of food boxes and the operation of thrift stores throughout Arizona.
