The experienced real estate leader returns to guide agent growth and strengthen HomeSmart’s presence in the Colorado market

DENVER, Colo. — January 19, 2026 — HomeSmart is proud to announce the appointment of Tommy Karaffa as HomeSmart Colorado’s Employing Broker and Market Leader. A respected leader with a proven commitment to agent success and client-focused service, Karaffa returns to the brokerage with deep roots in the Colorado market and a passion for elevating the real estate experience statewide.
Karaffa began his leadership journey at HomeSmart as the Littleton Branch Manager, where he played a key role in the company’s growth. During this time, he mentored agents, strengthened operational excellence, and helped establish the Denver market’s HomeSmart Elite group. As a steward of real estate professionalism and expertise, Karaffa is dedicated to empowering agents through data-backed insights, proactive support, and a people-first philosophy.
As he explains, “HomeSmart is defined by its people, and I am grateful to support the best agents in the state as we continue raising the standard in our market.”
HomeSmart leadership celebrates Karaffa’s return to the organization. President Stacey Onnen stated, “We are proud to welcome Tommy back to the HomeSmart family; his appointment is a vital step in our plans to build on HomeSmart’s continued momentum throughout the region.”
In his new role, Karaffa will lead brokerage operations across Colorado, provide hands-on guidance to agents, and champion initiatives that help real estate professionals build sustainable, thriving businesses. His passion for client advocacy and dedicated mentorship align with HomeSmart’s long-standing commitment to delivering real estate excellence across the state.
The move comes on the heels of HomeSmart’s late-2025 rebrand, leveraging bold, modern new visuals, revitalized messaging, and increased momentum to solidify their position in Colorado’s real estate market. Through Karaffa’s leadership, HomeSmart’s initiatives moving into 2026 will focus on recruiting — both emerging and established real estate talent — while growing brand awareness among consumers.
