Why I got into Realty.

Hi, my name is Russell Bateman. If you've seen my blog, and read my biography then you know a bit about me already. If not the boiled down version is; born and raised in Indiana, moved around the U.S. I am married with two daughters. I was once upon a time a Soldier, and a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).

I am now a licensed Real Estate Agent with a Realtor® designation. I work at HomeSmart Lifestyles and live in the glorious state of Arizona with my family.

I've been asked, why did I leave healthcare to become a Realtor®? Well simply put, I loved my job as a Certified Surgical Technologist. I loved the instant satisfaction of helping someone through a difficult situation regarding their health. I knew that my assistance in the surgical suite would profoundly impact their way to quick recovery.

That said, I feel the perception of Real Estate Agents are stigmatized as being untrustworthy or not valuable. I seriously wish to change that perception! I want to be a valuable asset to your Real Estate transaction experience.
Also, I want to be my own boss. Being a Surgical Technologist and my own boss are not compatible. Being a Surgical Technologist requires typically many hours per day. I couldn't do both effectively. Spending over twenty years as a Surgical Technologist, made me appreciate little things I couldn't do on a whim, like scratching my nose, going to the rest room whenever, and being outside when it's gorgeous out.

So onto the point of this; I wanted to introduce myself to you as a Realtor® in Phoenix, AZ area. I am excited for everyone to know about my change of career! I will put as much care and focus into finding or selling your home as I did helping on the most intricate of surgeries. I take my responsibility seriously. I will be honest, forthright, and confidential. I would love to get a referral from you, a friend, or family member. "My honor to serve you."
