North Carolina Beaches

Crystal Coast Beaches!

See the video below!

The Crystal Coast is part of North Carolina’s Southern Outer Banks - and is made up of the mainland communities of Beaufort, Morehead City to the east and Cape Carteret, and Swansboro to the west.

The beaches and barrier island towns of Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Salter Path, and Emerald Isle are accessible by the bridges at Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle.

Boasting wide, CLEAN, PET FRIENDLY beaches, abundant wildlife, shopping, and unique local restaurants, it's no wonder that the Crystal Coast is a local's favorite stay-cation as well as a family's dream vacation!

The beaches are dog friendly - as long as you keep them on a leash. You will need to bring along drinking water and the necessary clean up for after they to do “their business”.

There's plenty to do and see along the Crystal Coast - from biking, kayaking, or fishing - to visiting the local aquarium and Fort Macon - or taking a seat in the sand with a cool drink in your hand - it's all here!

Visit Swansboro! Videos!

WHY SWANSBORO?

That's the same question I asked when a friend invited me to the area...and I found out!

Growing up in Florida - mere miles from the beaches - and living on the water in the Florida Keys, Swansboro reminded me of "home" in years past. A slower pace, with room to spread out - boating and fishing and beautiful sunrises were the initial attractions.

Add to that, a historic waterfront with a "cool vibe" boasting excellent restaurants and shops all within walking distance of each other - and of course - less traffic and adequate parking!

Check out this video created by VisitSwansboro.org on YouTube....

....and here's one more created by 4K WALK - it's a quiet stroll through historic downtown for those who REMEMBER KEY WEST back in the day!

How's The Market?

How's The Market ?

That's probably the most asked question I'm hearing lately. I want to take a minute and give you my take....

There are literally thousands of real estate "markets" in the United States, some are not doing so well - experiencing price cuts, longer days on the market and like everywhere else - higher interest rates on loans.

"OUR MARKET" in ENC - locally known as the Crystal Coast or "the beach" - is still in demand. Homes under $300K have sold within days, many homes under $400K sell in weeks and the Emerald Isle market seems to rolling, too!

This is due in part to the desire of many interior North Carolinians wanting a coastal town "staycation" or beach home, the retirees moving here and - the constant ebb and flow of military personnel who make the area home while stationed here.

I don't have a crystal ball nor do I ever claim to predict the future - however - I can say that TODAY, ENC is still growing and will continue to do so into the near future.

I say that based on the numbers of people contacting me from out of the area and the businesses moving here.

We're blessed to live here and others know it! If you have questions or would like to discuss selling or buying a coastal home - contact me!

Texas, Florida, & Carolinas among most moved to states in 2022

Texas, Florida, & Carolinas among most moved to states in 2022

It's no secret - the Carolinas are a beautiful place to live and raise a family - especially Eastern NC.

The growth in our area - Onslow and Carteret counties - is apparent with new subdivisions and franchises popping up along NC24.

The new Bojangles at the light at NC24 & Belgrade/Swansboro is open - it's sister store is located at the corner of NC24 & 58 right before the bridge heading to the beach. Also, in that area of the Lowe's Plaza is a new Starbucks and coming soon, a new Tractor Supply.

A second Starbucks was recently approved for construction in the Walmart plaza in Swansboro as well.

These franchises indicate expected growth and more importantly - confidence in the strength and growth of our area!
