The Seattle Market is Hot Despite Covid's Lingering Concerns

Posted On: October 4th, 2020 6:47PM

Although 2020 has been a rough year by anyone's standards, some would say Seattle had it harder than most.

After months of the Coronavirus pandemic, we experienced the CHAZ/CHOP occupation and BLM demonstrations in downtown Seattle at Capitol Hill, and then closed off the summer with weeks of smoke and fire concerns across the state and south into Oregon and California.

Despite all this, it seems the real estate market is unaffected, and in fact, Seattle has been ranked as one of the fastest markets to recover from Coronavirus in the entire country.

What we are seeing in the market is very low inventory - not many people are putting their houses up for sale.  We are also seeing historically low interest rates, which means it's easier for buyers to afford the new home they've been wanting.

So, altogether we are seeing a strong demand from buyers, mulitiple offer situations and strong pricing trends.  It's a great time to be a seller in Seattle.
