HomeSmart International Reports Accelerated Second Quarter Growth

Top Real Estate Franchisor Continues to Expand in the Midwest and Both Coasts.

HomeSmart International continues to report rapid growth with strategic expansion in key markets throughout the United States. The brand grew its footprint in the second quarter, expanding its existing presence in Washington, Ohio and Texas and entering into Maine.

“Our quarterly franchise sales suggests solid Q2 growth, confirming expectations of a powerful 2018 from HomeSmart,” said Bryan Brooks, HomeSmart International senior vice president of franchise sales. “We’ve got a large pipeline that represents even more expansion in new states  in the third and fourth quarters.”

In the second quarter, HomeSmart International experienced a 13.1% increase in agent count year over year.

“I am incredibly proud of our second quarter performance,” said HomeSmart Founder and CEO Matt Widdows. “It proves that industry professionals continue to look for a brokerage model that supports their business and evolves as they do.”

Its consistent growth had HomeSmart and its brokerages receiving a number of industry recognitions in Q2.

“Franchisees, brokers and agents continue to choose and succeed using HomeSmart’s dynamic model because it offers everything they need to build scalable, thriving businesses,” said Wendy Forsythe, HomeSmart International chief operating officer. “Between our support, systems, training and proprietary software, we offer business in a box functionality.”

In June, the brand released improved versions of their proprietary RealSmart Agent and RealSmart Broker software platform which creates an integrated experience for brokers and agents. This technology streamlines business for all parties involved in the real estate transaction process.

Today, the brand has more than 15,000 agents and 135 locations across the country and is on track for surpassed growth in the third quarter.

In July, HomeSmart International has already opened new offices in New Jersey, Kansas and Kentucky in addition to new franchise agreements in North Carolina and Michigan.
