NEW RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED FOR ACREAGE BEHIND CAVE CREEK POST OFFICE

Cave Creek Town Center development

 

Developers have a proposal for a mix of commercial and residential development on the long-vacant 20-plus acre tract behind the Cave Creek Post Office.

 

In addition to a boutique-type hotel and associated commercial on approximately four acres directly behind the post office, plans call for 35 single-story, higher-end duplex or “villa” homes on the remaining site.

 

K. Hovanian Homes (khov.com)  is the contractor on the residential side of the development and has built a significant amount of homes in the North Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak area.

 

Bob Kite, owner of the property has been in talks to develop the property for nearly two decades but is now in positioned to move forward.

 

The new hotel and commercial space will compete with the new Hampton Inn development that is planned kitty corner, at the southeast corner of Cave Creek and Schoolhouse Road.

New Carefree steakhouse opens in Spanish Village

A new restaurant has just opened in Carefrees’ Spanish Village, in the space once occupied by Carefree Station, and most recenty Bacan Restobar.


The group behind Liberty Station American Tavern and Smokehouse in the Terravita Marketplace are  introducing a new restaurant and concept called Keelers’ Neighborhood Steakhouse, and have just opened.

 

According to press releases, their aim is to offer an “ affordable steakhouse experience in an unpretentious social house environment.”

 

 The menu at Keeler’s will feature Certified Angus Beef specialty cut steaks, the fresh seafood, chicken, and American comfort food specialties.

 

The property features several unique and attractive qualities, including a charming Spanish inspired shaded patio and a wonderful elevated sundeck where winter happy hour and sunsets are a great place to relax and bring visitors.

Cave Creek & Dove Valley Ranch commercial boom continues

Black Mountain Commerce Park

 

A two-acre commercial parcel of land along Black Mountain Parkway and behind Fry's Food & Drug has recently undergone native plant salvage and removal. Ground has since broken for a 13,000 square foot warehouse to be built on the lot. The land lies in what is  known as the Black Mountain Commerce Park.  Life Storage  occupies part of the site, and was the first structure built on the land over fifteen years ago.

 

The new construction joins what has become the second commercial boom in the Dove Valley Ranch and Cave Creek area. Recent activity includes a newly opened Greulich’s Automotive next to Gallaghers’ Sports Bar, a recently announced Sprouts’ Farmers Market west of  Four Sons’ Chevron at Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road, and Dutch Brothers Coffee across from Burger King on Cave Creek Road.

STORQUEST CAREFREE BREAKS GROUND NEXT TO LOWE'S HOMESTORE

Ground was broken last week on a nearly three-acre parcel just north of Lowes’ Home store at Carefree Hwy & Cave Creek Road.

Plans call for 650 units to be built on the site located at 34800 N. Cave Creek Road. The storage facility is said to be a highly securitized, climate controlled all indoor facility.

Storquest is a developer of high-quality storage facilities throughout Arizona and the United States. There are thirteen storage facilities in Arizona, including one under construction in Scottsdale.

The facility will incorporate up-to-date security equipment, including camera systems and electronic locking and keypad entry points at entry points and access gates.

Unlike storage facilities from the past, this property does not require a manager in an on-site residential premise, but only during business hours.

Cave Creek Coffee Drinkers Welcome Dutch Bros.

Dutch Bros. Cave Creek Site

 

 

The commercial boom in Cave Creek continues as the Cave Creek Planning Commission has given the green light for the site plan for a Dutch Bros. coffee shop on the southeast corner of Cave Creek and Olesen, directly across from Burger King.  

 

Like most Dutch Bros. stores, this unit will consist of solely drive-thru and walk-up service. This proposed building would be just 900 square feet, and have a sizeable  covered outdoor seating area.
